|We are His sheep and He is our Shepherd|
That said we know that God does not always give us what we want or what we think we need. Usually when we do not get His Healing Touch when we think it is time, it is something we need to learn or something we have missed that we need to pay attention to that might be a keeping us from a blessing. Yes, we sometimes have flaws also that need to be corrected and watched with great care.
The Father knows our needs before we ask, but he also knows that we are still human and sometimes humans forget their weaknesses. He is aware of every situation in our life and he knows our shortcomings as well as our strengths. When we pray to draw closer to him, it might be here that we are tested. If we truly want to live closer to him, there are certainly things we must sacrifice to be in the state of constant contact with the one who died for us. We must pay a price, nothing is free and that includes walking closer to the Lord. We have to make an effort to be close by our Lord, search His ways, and try to know His plan for our life.
Our first mistakes, is getting in a hurry for answers, when we really do not know what the right answer would be. It takes much prayer and thanksgiving even when we are down and need His Healing Touch and that is sometimes very difficult.
Sometimes it is hard to have thanksgiving when nothing is going right. It is difficult to praise him when we can't seem to feel him. This is when we must remember that His Healing Touch will come in time. When we have reached the state where he knows we have surrendered to his will, not ours, and are fully trusting His grace and knowledge.
In his own time.
We can't rush the Lord, he has said that
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." Isaiah 55:8
It is usually his timing, in his plan, in his ability to know more than we know.
If we profess to be strong in the Lord, more than likely we will be tested to see just how strong we are. If we profess to be patient, we will be tested to see just how patient we are. How do I know this? I have been tested in both areas a time or two.
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he sandeth take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10: 12
If we say that nothing will cause us to doubt him, we will probably face a trial and feel ashamed for letting our doubt surface. If we say we never give up in the face of adversity, we might just hit that time where we might think that God has forsaken us; though we know He hasn't. It is in these times of weary self doubt and sometimes fear that He in his infinite mercy looks down and gives us His Healing Touch that we need to get back on top and give glory to Him.
Isaiah 41: 10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
This scripture says it all, so why do we get fearful and distraught? Again, this is the human nature that constantly has to be brought unto subjection daily.
In V 13, the same chapter the scripture tells us that:
He is patiently waiting for us to let our doubt, fear, and pain go, and His Healing Touch is waiting for our trust and obedience.
Trust Him, He knows all about it...He will get to you just as soon as He can.
